Who We’re Looking For
The Role Itself: We are offering a unique opportunity to gain on the job undergraduate training within a technical field. During a one year placement within our Milton Keynes (UK) headquarters, you will participate in projects across the product design, product development, product compliance and after sales categories. You will be submerged in live projects, and allowed the opportunity to see solutions through to mass production or final implementation as appropriate. You will report directly to the Design Manager throughout your placement.
Roles may include:
Research and presentation of solutions to specific design challenges
Implementation of a corrective action plan for a product or factory
Review and approval of a product sample
Proposing opportunities to improve corporate sustainability
Creating new product concepts to pre agreed brief
Producing comparative study of product or components
Establishing test protocols for specified area
Supporting in the creation of compliance policies and protocols
Staying up to date with market trends
Completing trend analysis for parts usage or after sales reports
Collating customer and returns data
Working with key retailers for continuous improvement
Contributing to New Product Development meetings
Interfacing with internal sales, marketing, logistics and finance teams
Traveling within UK and Europe as required
Potential to support final year project
Skills required:
Must be an undergraduate intern seeking employment as part of a university placement from Sports Engineering, Sports Technology, Product Design,Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Eligible for employment within the UK
Very good command of written and spoken English
Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite
Experience of Adobe Creative Suite and Solid Works CAD software preferable
Proactive, positive and constructive
A team player
Diligent, thorough and fantastic attention to detail
A passion for sports and fitness
