adidas opened the doors to its X-shaped, illuminated pop-up training space in Victoria Park, London from 18-28 February, enlisting a number of ambassadors to create an immersive experience for women only and celebrate the launch of the adidas PureBOOSTX.
Over the ten days, the general public were invited to participate in a number of free running sessions on the illuminated track around the park as well as work out sessions inside the giant X-shaped indoor space. In a world first, the ‘X’ used innovative technology to harness the energy of everyone who entered the space, to light the one mile running track.
adidas ambassadors and social media fitness influencers Zanna Van Dijk, AJ Odudu, Carly Rowena, Cat Meffan, Faya Nilsson and Advent Running hosted free to attend workout classes and evening running sessions. As part of those workouts, RFE International, licensee for adidas Training Hardware, supplied a number of items including dual grip medicine balls, neoprene dumbbells and cable jump ropes.
Top fitness blogger Zanna Van Dijk hosted the BOOST Bootcamp, a HIIT class specially designed to pump up your energy levels.
Likewise, TV presenter and fitness pro AJ Odudu raised the roof with a HIIT class accompanied with a live soundtrack to keep those energy levels high.
In addition to HIIT sessions, personal trainer and fitness blogger Carly Rowena, together with the founder of ‘Fitness on Toast’ Faya Nilsson and yoga teacher Cat Meffan, fielded fitness questions from the X participants, followed by energising and nutritional refreshments to finish.
Daniel Allinson, marketing director at RFE International added, “As licensee and an extension of the adidas brand, it is fundamental for us to collaborate as much as we possibly can in terms of brand activation and consumer engagement. The X experience is just one of the many adidas events we have, and will look to support in future. The workout sessions led by key ambassadors proved popular and we are proud to have played a role in the success of these.”
